How Extreme is Your Weight Loss Efforts?

Are size zero models too thin for the catwalk?

Whilst fashion models have always been slim for as long as people can remember, most people have noticed that models have become particularly skinny in the recent years. Size zero models have sparked the debate again.  People are very much influenced by celebrity diets

It was thought that people such as Laetitia Casta have changed the way models are supposed to be. Casta broke the mold of the stereotypical skinny model by being that bit more curvacious, but still being able to aquire modeling contracts for Victoria’s Secret and Yves St. Laurent. While Casta cast hope for the modeling industry in the late 90’s that models can indeed be healthy, people are now again at odds with the especially skinny size zero models that are found in runways today.

You will also have noticed that things have changed again and we're now back to having very skinny models on our catwalks. Most people have shown concerns over women beleiving that to be beautiful they have to be a size zero. Such is the danger of constantly using skinny models to endorse clothes and other various products; younger girls are more vulnerable to what the media feeds them. These younger girls could develop the idea that it is acceptable to starve just to be like those size zero models.

Fortunately, some designers have addressed the situation; there are catwalks that ban dealthy slim models. On the other hand, some size zero models claim that the society is being unfair to them, because not every skinny girl has resorted to starving herself; some skinny models are just born skinny. While the debate goes on, there is still that perennial need to tell young girls that beauty comes in all sizes and shapes, and beauty is not limited to size zero.  If you truly care about your health, instead of following celebrity diets, instead just follow celeb hair styles instead.
